Gingerbread Creations
Julie Gaunt has planned and organized a unique pre-Christmas activity for us all to enjoy.
Come create an original gingerbread house from scratch.
Day 1—Sunday, Nov. 20th, 7pm to 8pm
Every one will come on Day 1 to plan, get the recipe, get inspirations for decorations, cut out patterns for your house, and cover your base board.
Day 2—Thursday, Nov. 24th OR Friday, Nov. 25th EITHER 3:30pm-5:30pm OR 6:30pm-9pm
Note: this is 4 separate time slots - you'll choose just one. Day 2 is for baking — bring your dough to the church to bake your pieces. You will need to sign up for your preferred choice as we have limited oven space available. There will be 4 spots available for each time slot. A sign up sheet will be available at church starting Sunday, November 6th. If you miss the sign up sheet, please contact Stacey at staceyrussell.03@gmail.com.
Day 3—Saturday, Nov. 26th, 9am - 12pm
Everyone will come on Day 3 to build and decorate your gingerbread creation - by yourself or with a friend or family member(s).
Your responsibilities:
- Make the gingerbread dough at home.
- Buy and bring whatever decorations you want.
- Bring your rolling pin and cookie sheets on baking day.
- Pay a $3.00 fee to cover costs for icing and bags.
Julie will provide:
- Recipe for dough.
- Bases for houses.
- Parchment paper.
- Lots of ideas and house patterns, if needed.
- Icing made up and in bags for Saturday.
- Lots of tips and help.
