Service at the Lake!

On July 27, Lakewood went to the lake for a special baptism service!

We met out at West Lake under sunny skies and with the backdrop of the lake for worship and communion. Communion was a special time as we each served one another the bread and juice and remembered Jesus'  sacrifice for us.

For our sharing time, we heard from those who, like the disciples who heard Jesus call them to "Follow me" at the shore of the Sea of Galilee, chose to follow Jesus. Trianda and Bob Cuthbert and Jason Morris all shared their stories of faith in Jesus. At the end of our service, we went in the water, and all three were baptized as they professed faith in Christ!

It was a wonderful service, and a great time of sharing lunch and hanging out together afterwards. Maybe next year at the lake it will be your turn to get wet....
