Lakewood Alliance Church has been a part of our community of Prince George since the fall of 1965. The church began with only 6 families who met in various homes. The church quickly grew and moved to Carpenter Hall. Lakewood Alliance took a large step forward in 1966, acquiring its current property at the corner of 5th and Ospika. Construction began and by October of that year the new church opened its doors to the community.

Early in its history, Lakewood Alliance started a strong Sunday school program and reached out to the young families in the community. Within a short time over 100 children were attending Sunday school. This emphasis on children and families was important as it reflected the community around the church.

Over the years, Lakewood Alliance has served with different lead pastors, grown through times of additions and adjustments to the current facility, but through each change, the focus of the Church continues to be on community and families. Today, the childrens ministry thrives, and there are several events that seek to serve our community and share God's love with kids.

In spite of changes in staff, expansion and growth to the facility, the heart and purpose of Lakewood Alliance Church remains steadfast in bringing the love of God to the community around us.
