Wondering what it is like to attend a service at Lakewood? Well here are some things you should know. 

 1. We are just an eclectic group of people that love Jesus; all ages, all races, all social demographics, all abilities.

2. You can dress casually or dress up! The choice is yours. But most in our family and those on the stage dress casual or, at most, business casual. 

3. When you walk into through the front door, someone will greet you. Right behind them is a coffee station with Starbucks coffee, generic tea choicsz and two milk options. Help yourself and feel free to bring it into the worship center. 

4. Someone will hand you a handout that has great information about us and things you can expect in our service. 

5. Once in the worship center, find a place to sit that feels comfortable for you and relax. 

6. During the service there will be singing. You are welcome to stand if you are able or just listen to the music. 

7. During the talking, just follow along. If you find it hard to concentrate and need something to fidget with, there are fidgets and art supplies at the back of the worship center that you are welcome to use during the service. We just ask you return them after. 

8. Kids do have a time of connection downstairs and are dismissed fairly early in the service. All children up to and including Grade 6 are invited to go but they are also welcome to stay in the service with you. 

9. We offer communion every week. Communion is where people come forward for bread and juice as part of remembering Jesus' life. If you would like to partake, then join a line but you are blessed to stay in your seat as well. 

10. You can go to the prayer room after the speaker is finished. This is a little room off to the right in the worship center. Walk in and sit down with the team and they will ask you what you need prayer for and then will pray for you. It's optional but open to everyone! 

11. Once the service is done, you are invited to meet people or just take your "I'm New Here" card that we will tell you about in the service to someone with a yellow lanyard on. They will trade your card for a $10 Starbucks gift card. Our little gift to you for coming out!
